Life: Canyon Flowers

First things first.  TED!!!  That's evil, you evil, dinner-cooking not-FBI soulless flunky.  I mean, part of me loves seeing Charlie all worked up about anything and I think this means we get to see him kick some ass very soon, BUT STILL.  DO NOT TOUCH TED!!!

It's a testament to Adam Arkin's wonderful presence and considerable talent that we get exactly how this hurts Charlie and feel exactly how awful it is and that we are just sickened by the thought of Ted back in jail.

And I liked DL's reaction shot.  It is (of course) very subtle.  But after the NotAgent Evil makes it clear the evil he has perpetrated, Charlie is absolutely still.  Then you can see him take a breath in, and out.

I also think I like the arc of this season now.  I see how they've taken the pressure off the longer-running stuff (like Rachel and Ted and the conspiracy) for several episodes to let Charlie be Charlie and let the comedic side breathe.  Now we're getting down to business.

Ok, backtracking to funner stuff.  Charlie in the hole, at the beginning, was perfect.  I liked Squeaky and Tex, both.  First, great names.  Second, the actress who played Squeaky played a character on Californication this season. (Whose name was Dani!)  She seems to be making a career of freaky, twisted, badass girls.  One of my favorite moments is where Charlie correctly distinguishes a "copycat" from a "tribute".  Squeaky approves.  Cut to Tex, just clapping softly.  That was awesome.

Hey, it's Mary Gross!  I liked how they cut from the split living room where she and her brother lived, to Charlie and Reese's desks:  one clean, one messy.  That was cute.

I loved Charlie and Reese searching the murder museum.  I just like to watch him walk around, all intense, with a gun.  And it does nice things for his pants.

Speaking of pants, which I often am, I want Charlie to have some more sex.

In conclusion, OMFG ROMAN IS BACK!!!  That's very good.  If Roman is behind all this and Charlie gets to kick ROMAN'S ass, I will be a very happy girl indeed.  YAY!

I haven't seen this episode yet (*pets DVR*) so I am only looking at your icon and not reading anything else. But yeah, that picture? Holy yes please, Batman! The sweater! And the stubble! And the eyes.....

Okay, that was a very good episode but it is mostly WASTED on me because I cannot think of anything but Ted.

Get Ted out. Get him out now.

I loved this episode. It had so much good stuff.

Misterreal and I have decided that Bobby would make a good Chicago cop. He is the nicest guy in the world, everyone in the neighborhood loves him. His house has the most fun Christmas and Halloween decorations. Any time some one is working on their car he comes out with beer and wrenches.

And if a perp really pisses him off he better expect his head to be bounced off of many, unyielding surfaces.

Dude, what the hell is lj doing to you and your cantaloupe?

Maybe try renaming it. Or reuploading it and then editing that comment or commenting again. We must save The Cantaloupe.

I thought we both might like this new DL of mine. :-D *points*

Ha. That's a great way to describe him. Remember the beginning of season one, when Bobby had all those sinister overtones? Hard to imagine now.

Yeah, I still don't like Bobby's wife (what the fuck, lady? you're pissed at Charlie because his being framed for murder made your husband unpopular for a few years?) but Bobby has become damn near my favorite character besides Charlie and (*anxiety resurfaces*) Ted.

And Mary, that new icon is fab. What is it?
