I know! I spent what seems like an inordinate amount of time on it.

Thanks for saying such nice things. :-)

Of course, sir! I have many nice things to say about you. :-)
Sep. 17th, 2008 12:26 am (UTC)
I can't say that I disagree with my placements. I also agree that it is hard. I still can't figure out how to answer most of the questions. *lady brain also hurts*
Sep. 17th, 2008 12:53 am (UTC)
Yeah, I had to just go with my first response, then check my flist to see if I'd forgotten anyone who fit the bill. Which I had, of course.

I think if you think about it too much, it's impossible! Plus, I kept wanting to say, "Well she isn't exactly that, but she's this other great thing that's not on the list!" I resisted the urge to add questions. I'm a little bit proud of that. :-)

#24 cracks me up.

Don't mess with her. Especially if you are remotely near CKR. She'll take you out.

Sep. 17th, 2008 12:58 am (UTC)
Well if she tried to get her dusty old brain in between me and that fine gentleman, I would totally kill her dead. Or at least incapacitate her big ginormous superego with some cocktails.

But I think she knows that any sort of CKR-adjacent situation would be a win-win (-win, hopefully). It's what I believe sociologists call the "free rider" problem. I do all the work, she gets some of the candy.

And you didn't rewrite any, either. ;-)
Sep. 17th, 2008 01:01 am (UTC)
I know, right? 8-) How kind of you to notice.

Sep. 17th, 2008 01:06 am (UTC)
I've always liked your willingness, in these situations, to reject the premise of the question. :-)
Sep. 17th, 2008 01:11 am (UTC)
Leo actually did teach me that. Isn't that funny? *sadly looks for Leo icon and comes up empty*
Sep. 17th, 2008 01:15 am (UTC)
That is funny. :-)

I've had the Annabeth/Leo icon for months, but haven't, before tonight, had the right occasion to deploy it.

OK, it's off by a couple of episodes. Right season, right couple. Close enough. ;-)

Cosplay is dressing up as characters mainly from sci-fi and fantasy movies, tv... even video games. People really get into it, working on their costumes for a long time trying to make sure every detail is right. I'm not sure why I told you that, but I thought you would want to know. ;-)
Sep. 17th, 2008 01:32 am (UTC)
Ooh, thanks quag! I was wondering about that.

(hee. You're one of the ones I wanted to make up questions for...)
Sep. 17th, 2008 01:46 am (UTC)
Sorry...that was cryptic.

What I meant was that, after I got done just going down the list, I looked at your name and thought I needed more questions. Like, my impression of you is that you're very intellectually curious, enthusiastic, and have the capacity to be inspired. (All things that I admire.) Not to mention just...nice and fun and stuff. So things like, "chatterbox" or "wild ideas" didn't seem to fit. I felt limited by the questions.

*hopes at least some of my impression of you is accurate and/or welcome* :-)
Sep. 19th, 2008 12:36 am (UTC)
No, I actually did understand, because I felt the same way! There was just too many people who didn't fit the catagories... or too many did.

Like, my impression of you is that you're very intellectually curious, enthusiastic, and have the capacity to be inspired.

Thank you. That has to be the sweetest thing anyone has ever said of me. I'm all emotional now! *sniff* Damn, stupid distance that keep me from hugging you!
Sep. 19th, 2008 01:00 am (UTC)
Aw, good! I'm glad you feel that way. You're one of my favorite lj buddies -- I feel like I never "see" you, but when I do we always find something really fun to talk about and I always discover one more thing we like in common. *g*

Hey, I was just talking about you to my sister, aunt_deen, and another sister who, sadly, has no lj username. :-) Anyway, we were showing Wilby Wonderful to othersister who, BTW, has four young children. I said, "My lj friend (quaggy) grew up near the Canadian border, and she said the Canadian kids' shows were much better than the American ones."

She looked at me like I was crazy. She said, "Uh, yeah... They're still Canadian." She then reminded me that for, like 8 of the last 10 years I've been plopping kids in front of my favorite kids shows and so many of them are Canadian. Franklin, Little Bear, etc. In fact, we've had this conversation before, she gently reminded me. More than once. More than twice.

I remember it all now. I remember joking with her about how, once a character said "Sorry" we could tell whether it was a Canadian show or not. Ha! The Alzheimers is really acting up lately. Or maybe it's just that my little-kid years are such a blur of sleeplessness and sticky messes. Who knows. But I'm glad she reminded me!

Oh man, same here! OH! And speaking of which, I don't think I told you (or anyone on LJ for that matter), I finally started to watch Firefly!!! It's so fantastic! I don't know why I waited so long!
Sep. 19th, 2008 01:33 am (UTC)
No way! Isn't it fantastic? (Ok, you you just said that.) We have threads! I think they're on keytus; I'll have to go check. Gosh I hope somebody tagged them or they'll be a bear to find...

How far along are you? Sadly, there's not that much to get through.

But we also have a thread for the movie, Serenity. (Also fabulous.)
Sep. 19th, 2008 01:52 am (UTC)
Silly me. I had forgotten that Tom posted links to all the Firefly threads. So easy! Here you go. Come on over when you're ready!

Sep. 19th, 2008 02:55 am (UTC)
Excellent!! I'll be sure to stop by as soon as I'm done!!!

Oooh, I'm all excited! I'm not very far along at all! Only made it past the pilot. Which I then watched with the commentary. :-D
Sep. 17th, 2008 03:34 am (UTC)

Number 25 and 26?!? And I thought my love for you could grow no more....:D

Sep. 17th, 2008 03:43 am (UTC)
Now why would you think a silly thing like that? ;-D
Sep. 19th, 2008 10:04 pm (UTC)
I've missed something here, because I don't know what this list is. Can you enlighten me?

I'd bribe you with a Leoben icon, but I don't have one....
